    On your way to the west entrance to Mount Rainier National Park, stop and visit Dan's iron sculpture park titled Ex-Nihilo (pronounced "Ex Nee-Hill-o" - one of several ways to pronounce it according to Webster's!) which means something created from out of nothing in Latin.     Historic steam train excursion through the foothills of Mount Rainier. Experience train travel as it was in the early century. Regular excursions scheduled Memorial Day weekend then Mid-June through Mid-October. Other special events offered April through December. Call or check website for dates and times.   • Free Park Shuttle: Ashford to Paradise

    The Ashford shuttle departs from the information kiosk between Whittaker's Bunkhouse and Whittaker Mountaineering. Free parking is available. Get the complete schedule here
    Beginning June 24th through Sep 4th, Mount Rainier National Park visitors will be able to ride a shuttle from Ashford, six miles from the park's Nisqually Entrance, to Longmire. In Ashford, park at Whittaker Mountaineering and board the shuttle at the adjacent information kiosk. The service is available Saturdays and Sundays beginning at 9:15 a.m. with the last shuttle leaving Longmire at 7:50 p.m. Although the shuttle itself is free, visitors will be required to pay the park entrance fee of $5 per person.
Event Spotlight

Now - March 25, PARADISE
Ranger-Led Snowshoe Walks: The walks are offered at 12:30pm and 2:30pm on a first-come, first-served basis. Walks cover approx 1.5 miles in 2 hours.
